General Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused Retail sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. The role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and passion for retail.

 

Essential Job Functions

Daily operations

  • Opening procedures
  • Closing procedures
  • Conduct physical inventory counts
  • Atm/Cash Pick Up protocols

Sales and upselling

  • Meet and exceed individual sales targets
  •  Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase average transaction value
  • Track and analyze personal sales metrics and work towards improving sales performance

Customer Service

  • Provide outstanding customer service by actively engaging with customers, listening to their needs, and offering tailored solutions
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively and efficiently, ensuring a positive outcome for all parties.
  • Strive to achieve high customer satisfaction ratings through attentive service.

Product Knowledge

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of product features, benefits, and assist them in making informed decisions.
  • Stay updated on inventory levels and new product arrivals to ensure accurate information is provided to customers

Communication & Professionalism

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members, fostering a welcoming environment.
  • Practice listening to understand customer needs and respond appropriately.

Team collaboration

  • Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive and supportive work environment.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights and ideas for improving store performance.

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation

  • Ensure that sales floor and merchandise displays are organized, clean and visually pleasing
  • Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining Inventory standards.

          Cash handling

  • Accurately handle cash transactions, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Maintain the integrity of cash drawers and ensure that all financial transactions are documented accurately adhering to company protocols.
  • Assist in reconciling cash drawers in the beginning and at the end of each shift, report and investigate any/all discrepancies to management.
 

Adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Engage in loss prevention practices to minimize inventory loss and ensure store security.
 

Minimum Job Qualifications

 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  •  Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Good listening skills to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a focus on providing excellent customer service .
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Basic math skills
  • Comfortable using POS system and inventory management software
  • Basic computer skills for handling emails and other digital communications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move merchandise, and perform physical tasks related to inventory management.
  • A customer-oriented mindset with willingness to assist others and go the extra mile to enhance the shopping experience.
 

Employee Conduct

Retail Sales Associates must have excellent communication and customer service abilities. Additionally, they must be a “people” person who is  helpful, cheerful, and has a positive attitude. All sales retail associates must pay respect to the company and be committed to a great work ethic in appearance, words and action, and be a teamplayer and customer service role model.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, inventory restock, and store merchandising.
  • Ability to carry boxes, products, and other necessary store related items.
  • Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, maintain all areas of business including back stockroom, employee lunchroom, restrooms.
  • Ability to safely lift boxes up to 55 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.

Expected hours of work

  • This is a full-time position. 
  • Open availability is a MUST.
  • Weekend, nights and holidays are expected to be worked.  
  • Schedules are not set and subject to change.

Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent experience for every customer by providing unmatched customer service,  demonstrating professionalism in words, actions and all visual presentations followed by personal appearance.
  • Demonstrate and share solid product knowledge in order to  accommodate all Lemonnade customers
  • Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions and concerns.
